Kind of sounds like the movie title 28 Days Later. There will be no zombies in 28 days – well, maybe there will be. We are officially 28 days from our due date. Baby J will be here in no time at all. That’s amazing to me. I can’t believe it’s been eight months already.
I guess I am lucky in the fact that I have had a very easy pregnancy (hasn’t seemed all that easy to me…lol). I haven’t had any swelling – no increased blood pressure – only one UTI to date – no YIs (as if you all wanted to know). I have even gotten to enjoy some of the finer things in life – cheese, ice cream, cream cheese. I am hoping to retain that post-pregnancy.
It hasn’t all been roses though. I have never been an insomniac in my life – until the last month or so. I find myself staring at the ceiling in the middle of the night making plans for the next day of all the things I have to do. Of course, the fact that I come home from work and have a very hard time staying awake has contributed to the insomnia as well. However, the worst problem I have had by far is the back and hip pain. If anyone would like to replace my hip for free – I am all yours! In the end, it’s okay – we’re going to have a little screaming baby soon and I cannot wait! Fingers, toes, little eyes, little nose, hopefully a little hair seeing as how we already have one baldy in the family (Superhero shaved his head a week and a half ago – it is all growing back fast though). Of course, if Baby J looks just like Superhero, I’ll have two beautiful people to come home from work everyday to.
I do have a belly shot for all to see. I have to apologize, my belly shots consist of standing in front of a mirror in my living room and snapping a picture and said mirror has grown a recliner in front of it, so it has become more difficult. The other recliner will be moved to the nursery shortly and then said new recliner (originally in the den) will migrate to the correct corner. It will be so nice to be able to access my shoes again. I guess I get the tangent-ability from my mother. Anyways – here it is, all almost fifty pounds of baby (right!):

Well, off to pack lunch and dinner for today. I have to work until four thirty, have a car seat check shortly thereafter, and then a CPR class at six. I didn’t see the point in driving all the way home for fifteen minutes, so I will be enjoying cold pizza and carrot sticks downtown in a picnic dinner. I get left over ravioli for lunch – woot!
I am so excited for you! I wonder if I could get my arms around your belly now!
